Dec. 2 Open Discussion about our last Annual Meeting and Budget Process
In the spirit of open communication, the FUUSN Board is offering several opportunities over the next two months to have open conversations with members of the congregation to hear about your experiences at FUUSN. One such gathering is scheduled for right after service on Sunday, December 2 in the Alliance Room. (previously scheduled for 1October 21) and will be an opportunity to share your questions or concerns about the budget decisions made in the run up to our last Annual Meeting.
Our goal for this December 2 gathering, is to explore what we can learn together from your experiences earlier this year that can inform how we go forward together to improve the budgeting process in the future. We also want to tap into your creativity and ideas about how we can foster a stronger culture of personal and collective stewardship at FUUSN.
If you wish to request childcare to attend the December 2 meeting, please send a request to chriswallacekrebs@gmail.com
In addition, there is still an opportunity if you haven’t already participated, to attend a Listening Circle which is also designed as an opportunity for the Board to listen and learn about the aspects of FUUSN that are most important to you.
Remaining Listening Circles are scheduled for:
Thursday, Nov. 8, 7:00-8:00pm in the Alliance Room with Jon Reuman and Demie Stathoplos.
Sunday, Nov. 11 after service in the Parlor with Chris Krebs and Brooke Welles
Thursday, Nov. 15, 7:00-8:00 pm in the Alliance Room with Jon Reuman
We hope many of you will consider setting aside the time to participate in both the congregational gathering to discuss our last Annual Meeting and budget process and a Listening Circle to let us know about your FUUSN priorities. Establishing funding priorities, planning and developing the annual budget, and cultivating a culture of trust and stewardship are essential to the immediate and longer-term well-being of our Congregation. The Board of Trustees aims to be more transparent in these processes and to make it easier for each of you to understand how these processes are relevant to your individual experience of FUUSN and the activities and programs that are important to you.
As always, please don’t hesitate to contact any of us should you prefer to speak directly.
