The winter solstice celebrates the longest hours of darkness and is thought to hold powerful energy for regeneration, renewal, and self-reflection.
The long dark days provide us with an opportunity to reflect on our relationships with self, family, community and the natural environment that sustains us all. It is important to ask ourselves how we are doing in relationship to ourselves, others and the world around us.
An important part of celebrating the solstice has always been showing love and caring to the people in our communities, and caring for the earth.
During this solstice season let us consider what steps can we take to deepen our relationships with each other, our earth, and all living beings.
