More than 50 of us attended the multi-generational FUUSN seder last night. Partaking in this shared celebration of freedom—with food, readings and song—made us feel connected, like family, peaceful, even all who came who were not Jewish … connected, close. I came to appreciate how “holy” it is to pass matzoh, each person taking a piece and passing it along. UUs and friends. Several also shared personal thoughts about freedom.
Much gratitude to Jennie Lerner who spearheaded, co-chair Leah Dusett, and the many who worked together to create the most delicious matzoh ball soup and handle the many other functions, including set-up and cleanup. And Erin and Rowan who added their talents to help create such a heartwarming, hopeful experience.
Blessings to all this Easter and Passover,
Wendy Schwartz
