As I look for ways to communicate with the congregation and the wider world about the wonderful work, fun, and community here at FUUSN, I want to make sure we are all aware of the guidelines around taking, posting, and sharing photos and videos.

One of the things to keep in mind is that not everyone wants their photo to be taken or shared. Before taking photos at an event, make sure to announce to everyone that you will be taking photos/videos and that these may be used on the website or social media. Ask people who do not want their photo taken to let you know. You can also designate a section of the space that won’t be photographed for people to sit in.

There are many reasons people do not want photos or videos taken of them. They can range from privacy to safety to a general preference. We want to make sure all these needs are honored.

If a photo is taken of you or posted without your permission, please reach out to me (membership@fusn.org) or to the person who posted the photo/video.

Once you’ve gotten permission, we’d love to see your photos and videos of our wonderful FUUSN community and our events!
