The Philanthropy Journey – November 3, Sunday 11:45 – 1:15 pm Alliance Room (light refreshments available) Do you dither and obsess over the whys, hows, whats and wherefores of your charitable giving?
Do you ever wonder if small gifts to many charities are “better” than a few larger gifts to a select set of charities? Are you concerned about how to pick your charities, which one is “best”? Are you ready to throw your hands in the air and give up?
Join us for engaging discussion to learn, explore, and share ideas on planning a legacy no matter the size. We give wisdom, care, time, money and love. We spend years planning for our loved ones’ futures. Whether you have a philanthropic plan set, are in an early planning stage, or are dithering, share your concerns and what you have learned. Reflection exercises can help us get in touch with what means most to us. Philanthropy is a journey. We can gain inspiration and support from each other.
The exercises and discussion will be facilitated by Jan Adams, Director of Planned Giving at Mass Audubon. Jan has many years of experience coaching people about all levels of giving from the non-monetary to the major bequests.
Please RSVP to Barbara Bates (b.l.bates@rcn.com or 617-964-6119) so she can make enough copies of the handouts to assure you get one.
