January 29 – Memory & Hope – Rev. Parisa Parsa

Many of us struggle to remember… a lot of things. This time-honored byproduct of too many demands on our attention, aging, and general life has been made even more challenging by the strange re-orientation of time we experienced during the pandemic. It’s even more complicated when we try to remember things as a community. Even in the best cases, we realize that there is never a single story; we each carry fragments. As we prepare for our congregational story-sharing and story-building process, we’ll reflect on the complexities of memory and forgetting.
