This Sunday, during the Special Collection on Music Sunday, you will be asked to make a donation to help support three families of refugees, from Iraq, Cameroon, and Kenya currently living in the Boston area. Last year FUUSN voted to join a cluster of five other churches and synagogues in Newton and Brookline standing up against the current anti-immigrant climate to extend a welcoming hand to refugees who fled to the US from their home countries in fear of their lives. The three families we currently support will be joined by a fourth, whom a FUUSN family have offered to house in their own home, if we can raise the money for their food and other necessities. Checks should be made out to FUUSN with NBARC (Newton-Brookline Asylum Resettlement Committee) on the memo line, and thanks in advance!
