Over the past few months, we have received many inquiries about how FUUSN could incorporate an electronic Sunday Collection plate as part of our Zoom service. We are pleased to announce that the “Text-to-Give” Sunday Collection Plate is now set up as part of our Realm database. We are introducing this option on Sunday, October 25th.
The process is relatively simple. Here’s how it works:
• Text FUUSN to 73256
• Click on the link you receive
• Enter the amount you want to contribute ($3 minimum)
• Select the fund to which you want to make this contribution (Sunday Collection Plate)
• Enter your payment information and your email (This only needs to be done the first time you make a contribution; you can change your payment information any time if you wish)
• Check the box to indicate if you want to contribute an additional 3% to cover some of the transaction fees
That’s it. You will then receive an email confirming your contribution.
The first electronic collection Sunday October 25th will be for the Minister’s Discretionary Fund which is used throughout the year to help members of our community, both here at FUUSN and the larger community of which we are a part, find a way through difficult times. We will continue our electronic collection plate throughout the year. The regular Sunday collections are important in helping support FUUSN’s on-going operations.
We recommend that you set up your account information ahead of time so you are ready on Sunday. Note that you can start giving using this option at any time. You can even schedule the date that you want your contribution to be made. Any Sunday plate collections received between now and October 31st will be placed in the Minister’s Discretionary Fund. If you encounter any problems or glitches, try starting over. If you are still stuck, please contact Rosemary Dean (rosemary@fusn.org), our Membership Coordinator. She will be happy to walk you through the process.
The system is PCI DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard) compliant. If you prefer not to use the electronic option, mailing a contribution to the FUUSN office is always an option.
Thank you to Sharon Sisskind, (Operations Council) and Rosemary Dean for researching and setting up this system.
