We are excited to share that Youth Ministry programs are thriving this year at FUUSN! There are around 30 high school youth involved at FUUSN this year, with 8-16 consistently showing up to youth group each week. In January and February the youth have been planning Coffee House, an annual fundraiser that showcases Newton youth talent (on March 3rd this year). Immediately following that, they will begin planning the Youth Service, which is on April 29. Youth also participate in service projects and attend field trips and overnights.
In addition to youth group, youth are also involved in congregational life at FUUSN in a variety of ways. This year we have 18 youth employed as Youth Teachers in Sunday School classes, as well as 8 youth employed as the Technology Beadle, Coffee Beadles and Dishwashers. Youth are on the board and serve at community breakfast. This year they have began volunteering as Worship Associates, assisting Erin during the service. If you see youth around FUUSN, feel free to introduce yourself! -Dani Patrick
