Greetings All,

As you all know, Jud Leonard and others have been working tirelessly, with great diligence, and persistence to make it possible for us to be spiritually together even when attending our Sunday morning service in different spaces. What you may not know is that for the last three weeks the new system installed in the Sanctuary has been unstable and unreliable. The result of which is that of the three weeks we have been back together, in only one of them – Water Sunday – have we had a successful broadcast of the service on Zoom. Everytime our amazing tech crew gets the system working, another glitch presents itself and what worked on Saturday night did not work on Sunday morning. We cannot continue as a bifurcated community.

Because we cannot guarantee that this Sunday will be any different – we are going to return to Zoom-only worship for the next three Sundays so that we can truly be together again as a community. It will be good to see everyone in the same space as well as know that we are removing the technical barrier keeping us separate. We hope that the three-week switch back to Zoom-only will give our tech team the time and space to work on the problem without the pressure of a revolving Sunday deadline.

Amanda will be sending a note to RE families with the evolving plan for the Sundays to come in the next day or two.

We have said for months that life will continue to ebb and flow as we all navigate this most unusual time. How lucky we are to have each other and our beloved FUUSN to ground us, to remind us that we are not alone – to help us along the way.
