New research shows humans only have nine years to cut our carbon footprint in half if we want to prevent average world temperatures from increasing more than 1.5 degrees Celsius.

Join the Climate Task Force, which is focusing on three main projects in 2021:

– Spreading the word about the Newton Climate Action Plan—what each of us will need to do to cut our carbon footprint by 50% by 2030.

– Advocating for making the Green New Deal real with UUMass Action and contacting our legislators regarding important climate and environmental justice bills.

– Helping to make the FUUSN community more resilient in the face of extreme weather events. We are asking FUUSN members what resources we as families and individuals have in the event of an emergency so we are prepared to help each other.
