Oral History: In March 1965 Gerry Krick was among the UU ministers who answered Dr. King’s call to the nation’s clergy by traveling to Selma to show support for the voting rights movement. Fourteen years later FUUSN called Gerry as senior minister. During his long ministry (1979 – 1998) membership increased, finances stabilized, FUUSN’s lay ministry was formed, and new elements were added to weekly services.
On Sunday, March 19, the Preservation Committee will screen a video interview of Gerry (it’s a double-minister show, with James Ford as interviewer!). Please join us in the Chapel after the service, approx. 11:30 a.m. For questions, please contact Gayle Smalley, gaylesmalley@mindspring.com
