September 22 – The Holy No – Rev. Mara Dowdall

Rev. Mara Dowdall is a Unitarian Universalist minister and Interfaith Chaplain at the University of Vermont Medical Center. A 2007 graduate of Harvard Divinity School, she has previously served congregations in Wellesley, MA (Assistant Minister), Montpelier, VT (Minister) and – most recently – Burlington, VT (Senior Minister). Mara was honored to deliver the Sunday sermon at our UU General Assembly in 2017. Prior to her call to ministry, Mara worked in national politics and reproductive rights advocacy. Originally a Philly girl, Mara now lives in Burlington with her husband Ben and two young sons.
