Housing Options for Seniors: Continuing Care Communities, Subsidized vs Affordable Sites, & One Woman’s Search

On May 18th the Over 60’s group hosts Part 2 in its series on housing options for seniors. (This replaces the March session that was zoom bombed.)
• Karen Wasserman, Director of Your Elder Experts, will discuss Continuing Care Retirement Communities: their characteristics, differences, and costs.
• Emily Kuhl, Case Manager at the Newton Senior Center, will address subsidized vs affordable apartments and the reality of waiting lists.
• Linda Lancz, FUUSN member, will describe her experience searching for a suitable place.
The panel takes place Thursday May 18th from 4:00 – 5:30 on Zoom. Everyone is welcome but must register in advance at https://zoom.us/meeting/register/tJwvcumrqD0iGdBLrVIorNf0A_cSoSyMCU5s . After registering participants will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting.
