Quote from Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

Dr. King has always been one of my heroes and I think that to be true for many Unitarian Universalists. FUUSN‘s Rev. Gerry Krick & Rev. James Reeb, two UUs who admired Dr. King, joined in marching with him in Selma,AL in 1965. Rev. Reeb, sacrificed his life that spring in Selma.

Dr. King  challenged us to “ Walk in the light of creative altruism .” I think this quote is part of his challenge towards walking in that light:

Whites, it must frankly be said, are not putting in a similar mass effort to reeducate themselves out of their racial ignorance. It is an aspect of their sense of superiority that the white people of America believe they have so little to learn.
