On the shortest night of the year, we gather to offer songs and prayers and light in keeping with ancient traditions around the world of Saturnalia (Roman/Western), Dong Zhi (China), St. Lucia’s Day (Scandinavia), Shab-e Yalda (Iran), Shalako (Zuni), and Toji (Japan). All ages are welcome, and the service will be followed by snacks and fellowship.
