We are delighted to welcome Reverend Dr. Sandras Barnes who will deliver the sermon at a summer service at FUUSN on Sunday, August 6. Reverend Barnes is the Director of the Seminarians in the City Program at City Mission in Boston and has a background in education, as both a teacher and teacher educator focusing on racism in education. Dr. Barnes earned a Bachelor’s degree in Black Studies/Psychology from UMass/Boston, a Master’s Degree in Counseling Education from Lesley College, and a Ph.D. in Educational Studies from Lesley University. She was ordained in the African Methodist Episcopal Church in Philadelphia in May 2009 and graduated from Andover Newton Theological Seminary in Newton, MA. in May 2013 with a Master of Divinity.
