November 13 – Healing and Practice in Democracy – Rev. Parisa Parsa

In his book Healing the Heart of Democracy: The Courage to Create a Politics Worthy of the Human Spirit, Parker Palmer writes: “It is in the common good to hold our political differences and the conflicts they create in a way that does not unravel the civic community on which democracy depends.” In our democratically-organized congregation, in the wake of the national mid-term elections, we’ll reflect on how we can and should participate soulfully in politics.
