“Awesomely, Wondrously Made”

We welcome our guest minister, Rev. Joanna Lubkin. Joanna (or Rev. Jo) has served as the Unitarian Universalist Chaplain at Wellesley since 2015. She brings passions for inclusivity, accessibility, pluralism, fun, and whimsy to the UU chaplaincy. Trained as a community organizer, Joanna incorporates a commitment to building a more just world into the day-to-day life of the UU community. You may hear her singing as she walks around campus.

Raised and rooted in Judaism, Joanna studied at Hebrew College Rabbinical School before transferring to Andover Newton Theological School and pursuing UU ordination. Joanna served as the ministerial intern at the UU congregation in Wellesley Hills from 2013-2015. Since its founding in 2012, Joanna has been a leader at The Sanctuary Boston, a community of worship and connection rooted in Unitarian Universalism and open to seekers of all kinds. She has been an active member at Arlington Street Church in the Back Bay since 2010 and lives in Boston.
