The Many Faces of Newton: Our Students Speak Out About Race and Racism, Wednesday, January 24, 7:00 p.m.
Believe it or not, racism exists in Newton! In 2017 a group of high school Students of Color performed original theatre pieces they had written as part of The Monologue Project. Join them for an eye-opening experience as they take to the stage to speak out about their experiences of race and racism in our city.
A Q&A moderated by FUUSNite Beau Stubblefield-Tave of the Center for Culturally Fluent Leadership will follow. Refreshments will be served. Co-sponsors include the First Unitarian Universalist Society in Newton. This program is supported by a grant from the Foundation for Racial, Ethnic and Religious Harmony.
